What is The Teacher Cafe?

Welcome to the Teacher Cafe,

A few years ago I had a vision. It was of a cozy cafe, with couches, books, and a fireplace. It was a place for teachers to come and meet and create support networks. I imagined a giant library of lesson plans, organized by grade and subject, that teachers could add to and borrow from. I imagined lesson planning with a nice cup of hot something. I dreamed of building a social circle of other professionals who I could rely on. I wanted to not reinvent the wheel.

However, I am a teacher and have no financial capital to invest in my dream. So this is what I have settled on. My hope is that others will learn from this forum, that others will draw on my ideas, and that others will feel like there is a circle of like minded professionals out there.
